Tabasamu Foundation Uganda Ltd is a non-profit, community-driven organization registered in 2024, with roots dating back to 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic. Our name “Tabasamu” means “Smile” in Swahili and that is our mission to restore hope, dignity, and opportunity to Uganda’s most vulnerable people.We work to empower youth, orphans, disadvantaged women, and vulnerable communities through sustainable programs in Education, Health, Economic Empowerment, and Social Transformation.
We believe that real change happens when compassion is turned into action. At Tabasamu Foundation Uganda, we are at the forefront of building a brighter future. Our mission extends beyond support we seek to inspire resilience, unlock potential, and foster dignity. As we grow, we invite individuals, institutions, and partners to join us.

Our Journey
Tabasamu Foundation Uganda was founded with a vision to empower vulnerable communities through education, health, and sustainable development initiatives. Our journey began with a small team committed to creating positive social change.
We introduced our first community outreach programs, providing support to children, youth, women, and families through awareness campaigns, skills development, and social support services.
The Foundation expanded its operations to reach more communities across Uganda. Strategic partnerships with local leaders, volunteers, and development partners enabled us to increase our impact and serve more beneficiaries.
We strengthened collaborations with government agencies, NGOs, and private-sector partners to enhance program delivery, resource mobilization, and long-term sustainability for the communities we serve.
